- Adjust the trip length at the bottom to browse for cheap date combinations.

- Look for the dates that are $207-$221 roundtrip.

2. Go to the U.S. Dollar version of Kayak

3. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to San Francisco (SFO)

- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.

- Add 1' Carry-On bag' using the options on the left hand side of Kayak to get rid of WestJet's UltraBasic fares (which don't include carry-on).

- You should now see Air Canada / United's flights for $135 USD roundtrip. This will work out to approximately $185 CAD roundtrip after conversion to Canadian dollars.

Condor Airlines has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Frankfurt, Germany down to between $599 and $699 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

The flights are nonstop both ways.

Condor charges $95 roundtrip for carry-on bags.

This is around $500 cheaper than what Air Canada and Lufthansa charge for their nonstop flights from Vancouver to Frankfurt.

UPDATE: October dates are currently available for $599 roundtrip ($694 with carry-on).

There's also one business class flight from Jul 25 to Aug 8 for $2376 CAD roundtrip.

Lately there's been quite a few flights available in the $800s and low $900s roundtrip between Vancouver and Europe on a variety of different airlines including Air Canada, Lufthansa, Air France, and KLM.

A few destinations are available for September travel. Most destinations are available in October or November 2024 at the very least. Others can be found into winter and early spring 2025.

Right now the very best deals to Europe are in the $600s and $700s roundtrip between Vancouver and Portugal or Spain. But there's a separate blog post for those.

This post will just focus on the destinations that are available in the $800s and $900s roundtrip. Not quite into exciting territory like Portugal or Spain, but firmly in the 'better than usual' range.
